During law school, Zandrill clerked for the Honorable Timothy R. Walmsley of the Chatham County Superior Court and for the Chatham County District Attorney's Office in Savannah, Georgia, gaining experience on both sides of the courtroom.

She also served as the Notes Editor for the Savannah Law Review and as a Moot Court Honor Board member, and dutifully served as President of the Savannah Law Chapter of the National Women Law Students' Organization.
