Kristian Cross

Ms. Cross practices exclusively in workers' compensation, bringing nearly 20 years of legal experience to The Wilson PC's South Carolina workers' compensation practice. Having represented both claimants and the companies opposing them, she brings a complete understanding of the process to every case she handles.

Ms. Cross began her career as an insurance defense attorney, defending corporations and insurance companies in workers' compensation matters. That experience gave her a rare, inside look at how insurance carriers evaluate and defend claims — insight she now puts to work for injured workers.

Ms. Cross is deeply engaged in the South Carolina legal community. She is the past Chair of the South Carolina Bar's Workers' Compensation Section and currently serves on the Board of Governors for the South Carolina Association for Justice as Chair of its Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

She was recently appointed as a Commissioner on the South Carolina State Ethics Commission and previously served four years on the South Carolina Judicial Merit Selection Commission — the panel responsible for evaluating candidates for judicial seats on the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, Circuit Court, and other state courts.

Ms. Cross is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and serves the Columbia community through The Links, Incorporated, a not-for-profit service organization of women dedicated to educational, civic, and intercultural initiatives.

Outside the office, she enjoys traveling with her husband, Justin Gerwe, spending time with their dog Ladybelle, dancing, and cheering on the Clemson Tigers.
