24-Year-Old Byron Man Dies In Car Accident On Hartley Bridge Road Near Macon

A young Byron man sadly lost his life after a car accident on Hartley Bridge Road near Macon on Wednesday morning. The terrible incident has left the community shaken, and our thoughts are with the family and friends of the 24-year-old during this difficult time.

The accident took place just before 6 a.m. as the Bryon man, whose name has not been released at this time, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe northbound on Hartley Bridge Road. While navigating a curve just before Arnold Drive, the SUV veered off the road and rolled over.
In the process of the accident, the driver was tragically ejected from the vehicle. Upon arrival, first responders swiftly removed the young man from underneath the SUV. Sadly, despite their best efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene around 7:30 a.m.
Thankfully, no one else was injured in the crash. However, the tragedy has left a profound impact on the Macon community as they mourn the loss of a promising young life.
